The New Roosevelt Collection: A Recap of Fountain Lighting Ceremony

As you all know very well, we’ve been hard at work making The Lofts at Roosevelt Collection the best community in the city. With the opening of our plaza space, we have marked yet another significant milestone in our development. Thanks to everyone for joining us for the Fountain Lighting event, and for helping make Roosevelt Collection the most comfortable and welcoming new mixed-use development in the South Loop, if not the city.

In attendance at the Fountain Lighting event were plenty of residents, investors, partners, McCaffery Interests staff and noteworthy members of the South Loop community. We were proud to have such a fantastic turnout, and to see visitors enjoying our brand new amenities, such as the fire pits, koi pond, playground and oversized chess board. To commemorate the opening of the plaza, Clayton McCaffery addressed the crowd, speaking on our hard work and thanking the community for their support, just before pushing the plunger to light the main fountain in the front. The lighting of the fountain will change regularly; this month is pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The Wagyu Wagon was the obvious hit of the night, with as many as 40 to 50 guests waiting in line for gourmet beef and burgers at any given moment. The Southern Mac and Cheese Truck and Taquero Fusion also were big hits, both selling out of their entire inventory in less than two hours. Last but far from least, Gigi’s Bake Shop served up the sweets. Smiles and cupcakes were had by all in attendence.

Set up on a stage above the koi pond, Biederman kept the vibe smooth and warm despite the very cold temperatures. Immediate Family just released their first EP, and you can listen to it in its entirety on their Bandcamp page. Looking forward to welcoming Mike back sometime soon! Support local art.

This is just the beginning of what we’re sure will be a long, successful presence in the South Loop. And stay tuned for more information on our retail, announcements are coming soon!
