03.16 // Downtown St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Chicago River Dyeing


Join the City of Chicago as they bring in St. Patrick’s Day for the Annual River Dyeing and Official St. Patrick’s Day Parade down Michigan Avenue. This is a big year, as Chicago is being recognized by Ireland as the US St. Patrick’s Day Headquarters. From St. Patrick’s Day Parade website:

Chicago River Dyeing

“This is scheduled for 10:00, Saturday March 16th and can be best viewed from the East side of the bridge at Columbus Drive or upper and lower Wacker Drive between Columbus and Lake Shore Drive. This is a new location due to construction taking place this year.”

St. Patrick’s Parade

“Our Downtown Chicago Parade begins at 12:00 noon, Saturday March 16th. The parade starts at Balbo and Columbus. The parade units will proceed north on Columbus Drive and the viewing stand will be located in front of Buckingham Fountain.”
